2026 International Selection Process

For all lifters interested in attending international competitions in 2026, the NZPF International Selection Committee has created a document that will more clearly illustrate the process of qualifying and being selected for international teams. 

Please review this document closely if you want to ensure your eligibility for international team selection. Application closing dates for 2026 are also outlined in the document, as well as FAQs and Carpino3 benchmark totals (which are used for selection).

Welcome to the Official New Zealand Powerlifting Federation Website

The NZPF is the official governing body for the running and development of powerlifting in New Zealand. The NZPF is comprised of a National Executive Committee (NEC). There are currently 6 regional powerlifting associations throughout New Zealand, each with it’s own committee and constitution.

WADA has published their Prohibited List for 2024

Competitors must be aware that tramadol is now prohibited in competition.
