If a competitor cannot lift at their qualifying contest (Provincial Championships or National Championships) but wish to lift at a National or International Championships, they must apply for dispensation.

What a lifter needs to do prior to the event that they cannot compete in:

  1. complete the dispensation application
  2. email supporting evidence to the NZPF secretary & remember to include your name

Each case will be dealt with on its merits.

Dispensation requests must be submitted prior to the affected event - (by the entry closing date)

The application will be considered by the NZ National Executive Committee (NEC). The applicant will be notified in writing of the NEC's decision. We aim to resolve all requests within 14 days. Please wait until this time has passed before contacting us again regarding your application.

The NZPF National Executive Committee reserves the right to not consider/decline late dispensation applications.

NOTE:
There are two aspects to qualifying:
1. competing at Provincials
2. meeting the qualifying total for your weight and age class - this total can be achieved at any competition that has been held within 12 months of the Regional or National Championships in which you intend to compete
